About the Business
Seitou Ryu Karate is an established traditional Goju karate school with clubs across South Essex in Wickford, Chelmsford and Thurrock including Grays and South Ockendon. We are affiliated to the Japan Karatedo Federation (JKF) Goju Kai, Goju Ryu Karatedo Seiwakai and the Shi Kon Martial Arts Association.
The club's chief Instructor, Sensei Richard Hang Hong, has over 18 years experience in both traditional and sport karate and holds multiple black belt ranks in Goju Ryu and Shotokan Karate. He is assisted by a team of fully qualified instructors and assistant instructors, all of whom are first aid trained and have passed an enhanced CRB check.
Beginners and advanced grades are welcome to come and train at any of our many training locations across Essex. We currently have over 200 members actively training each week.
