About the Business
Pegasus Martial Arts Club was established in 1996 by Mr E T Buckley who remains Club President. The Club is now owned by the Head Coach, Steven Hawksworth. We are well established in the Chaddesden and Oakwood Communities and we are a member of the Independent Martial Arts Group. Our core styles are freestyle karate and kickboxing with a strong emphasis on effective self-defence. Providing a friendly, safe, family-orientated environment for students of all ages is one of our main aims.
Classes are run with a high degree of discipline but are also designed to be enjoyable and fun. The club has a Child Protection Policy and class leaders have CRB checks carried out at regular intervals. We currently train every Thursday evening from 6.30 until 8.00pm at the Springwood Sports Centre in Oakwood, Derby and always welcome new members with your first training session free! You can also just come down and watch before joining in if you wish.
