About the Business
Well done Owen and Martin who between them picked up 5 bronze medals at the USA Open Karate International Championships On Sunday 17th May in Dudley. Owen came joint third in the individual kata, joint third in the open kumite category and third in the under 75 kilo kumite. On Sunday 24th May I will be running a referee course at the Blandford gym and Kanga club. The course will cover all aspects of kumite refereeing, judging and table officiating. This is an ideal opportunity for students to gain some last minute competition sparring before our local competition and for referees and judges to update or learn the skills required to assist at the competition.
We also need table officials for score keeping and timing etc. and this requires no karate experience so parents can also get involved. Please send me an email if you would like further information or to confirm that you would like to attend.
