Junsui Shotokan Karate Do

Junsui Shotokan Karate Do was founded in January 2014, the club was renamed from the former name of Shotokan Karate and Freestyle Kickboxing Academy formed in 2007.

In 2016 due to the fantastic success of the club training now takes place in the Sports Hall at Belmont Community School allowing further growth in the future.

The club is run by Chief Instructor Steven Beresford 6th Dan and is assisted by all the fantastic instructors and cadet leaders which can be found on our instructor's page.

We teach traditional Shotokan Karate but with elements from other martial arts while we still respect, understand and use the underlying traditional Karate techniques. Our grading syllabus has been developed with the vision of challenging and developing all students on their Karate journey.
