About the Business
Headhunters Martial Arts has a long established history in the martial arts. It is run by head coach Alex Sneddon, who has been doing martial arts since he was a small boy and has 25 years experience of competing and coaching.
Alex was inspired by martial arts movies of the 70s and martial artists such as Bruce Lee. He officially started his career, training 5 days a week, with Grand Master T.K. Loh in the art of Tae Kwon Do. He quickly developed his skills and won many Tae Kwon Do tournaments including the Scottish Open Championship. Inspired by Bruce Lee, Alex took an interest in all forms of martial arts. He became interested in ground fighting and throws and studied Japanese traditional Jiu Jitsu, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Wrestling. Soon after he began training Muay Thai, where he excelled as Scotland's pound-for-pound best Muay Thai fighter, undefeated by any British fighter and ranked number one in Scotland for many years.
